Why I'm Running

Meet Dr. Queen

As a prospective candidate, I'm running because I C. A. R. E

Community. Advocacy. Respect. Empowerment.

After being called to lead by neighborhood leaders, community stakeholders, and seniors, Dr. Katilia “Dr. Queen” Harden stepped forward with a clear purpose: to serve Ward 4 and help build a stronger, safer, and more unified Forest Park.

For Dr. Queen, C.A.R.E. is more than a message, it is a lifelong mission grounded in over 20 years of service, leadership, and real results in the community. She is also a 20 years resident of Forest Park where she owns a small business and is a homeowner.

Community means restoring pride in our neighborhoods and investing in the people who make Forest Park strong.

Advocacy means showing up and delivering results. With more than two decades as a hands-on community advocate, she has worked across public health, behavioral health, and family support systems to ensure no one is left behind.

Respect means listening, transparency, and accountability. She believes every resident deserves to be heard, valued, and represented with fairness.

Empowerment means creating opportunities for people to thrive.

Dr. Queen is a proud public health leader and licensed clinical social worker. She has led major initiatives at Grady Health Systems, University of Georgia, Georgia Department of Public Health, Emory University School of Medicine and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where she developed programs, guided policy implementation, and ensured responsible use of resources to improve outcomes for children and families.

Dr. Queen believes leadership starts with listening. As a prospective candidate for  City Councilwoman for Ward 4, she is committed to:

  • Strengthening public safety and neighborhood trust
  • Investing in youth, families, and community wellness

Above all, Dr. Katilia “Dr. Queen” Harden is a servant leader… someone who listens, understands, and delivers. Her career has never been about titles, it has been about impact.
